Training Courses
Over the coming year the Northern Walking Partnership is planning to organise a number of lowcost Navigation and Hill Safety courses open to all. We are keen to hear from anyone with the relevant skills who might be interested in acting as a volunteer instructor on one or more of our courses.Opportunies also exist for less experienced persons who might wish to look at developing their skills as Northern Walking Trainer / Instructor. Contact us with your details.

New Online Membership coming soon
New online Membership will be available soon. This will give access to Special Member only events and Fees and will include Workshops on various aspects of Walking, Day Trips away, Week Ends to other locations around the UK and Ireland, and Social Events. The Northern Walking Partnership are looking for Volunteers interested in helping at various events during 2009. This can range from Events assistant helping at event registration or Volunteer Walk leader / assistant leader, with some of the many walks on the programme. New River lagan Cruise / Walk Tour Launched
Why not try our River lagan cruise and Walk Tour relaxing as we make our way along the Lagan from Donegal Quay to Sranmillis, taking in the scenery and views of the Belfast Skyline. Then we shall take a short walk along the embankment taking us back into the City. Limited spaces available, Book Now.

Sping Short Walks around Belfast Lough Launched.
Join us for our Series of Spring Short Walks around Belfast Lough. Explore the many hidden secrets of the lough. We will visit various locations, and see the lough in its full splendour. See our Events programme section for full details. N.B. Registration required for all walks.

Belfast Lough Short Walks by Rail Programme Launched Today.
Northern Walking Partnership launch Belfast Lough Spring Rail Tours starting on Saturday 12th April and taking place Saturdays and Sundays during April / May. Explore the Lough by Train and find those hidden secrets of the Lough. See our Events section for full details or Walking Tours Section.

New Online Registration launched
Northern Walking Partnership are pleased to announce the launch of their new online registration system. Anyone using the online registration to pay entry fees can take advantage of discounts. Alternatively you may book your place and print your details then simply post them to Northern Walking Partnership along with your cheque.

New waymarked route in County Antrim
The Antrim Hills Way is the latest waymarked route to be launched in Co Antrim. Its starting point is the village of Glenarm on the Antrim coast road part of the world famous Causeway Coastal Route. Walkers are rewarded with some of the most spectacular views of Antrim Coastline, Scotland, Sperrins as well as North Antrim. The Walking route includes Black Hill, Scawt Hill, Sallagh Braes, Agnews Hill, Glenhead and finishes at the car park Slemish Mountain. Various Walks covering the Antrim Hills Way have been planned for over the summer months starting with Sunday 25th May (Section1), Sun 15th June (Section's 4 & 5 )and the East Antrim Challenge Walk on Sunday 31st August( Section's 2 & 3 ). Chairman of Northern Walking Welcomes Launch of new Website ( 25/1/08 )
The Chairman of Northern Walking Partnership, Mr Frank Donnelly, Welcomed the Launch of the new website to day and believes it will help to encourage people to participant in walking as a healthy and social recreation.
